Ohio Goes to the Movies: The Avengers
Ohio Goes to the Movies is coming to West Union High School on March 20 at 6 p.m., and everyone is invited!
In 2026, communities across all 88 Ohio counties will take part in celebrating Ohio’s impact on film. Ohio Goes to the Movies is a collaborative statewide initiative that highlights Ohio’s role in cinema, from movies filmed in the state to Ohio to born actors, directors, and crew members, who have shaped the industry.
“What better way to celebrate community than with a screening of The Avengers, filmed in Cleveland, Ohio? This event brings families together, while honoring real-life heroes, including our neighbors, partners, and volunteers, who strengthen our communities every day,” said Julia McCane-Knox, Assistant Director of the Adams County Public Library.
This Comic-Con and Carnival-themed evening will also include games, photo opportunities, prizes, and food. Community partners will host interactive game booths throughout the event, including:
* Adams-Brown Head Start
* Help Me Grow
* Adams County Board of Developmental Disabilities
* West Union Lions Club
* Peebles Magazine Club
The event focuses on making connections, celebrating community, and having fun together. Everyone is encouraged to attend, and everything is free to enjoy.
